(5). Drafts for beer 3,000:00.
(6). Knowloon Godown storage bills 800:00.
(7).
Staff salary and rents ect 3,500:00.
I will send you a full statement by next mail showing you all the cash reports during my stay in the office
Kindly note that there are about 8,000:00 advanced
by Tang and myself are unsecured which I presume will be entirely lost.
With reference to your cable dated 17th ult, in reply to Blair telegram, I understand that you are writing your instructions to us by letters and expect to hear from
you very soon. In any case I am still trying my best to help the firm but only fear that it is out of my control to do anything owing to the above conditions.
Your cables dated 22nd ult., and 9th inst., both duly to hand and noted. I am now arranging to remit you the money as requested by yourlast cable, but I must inform you that the Manila and their Amoy branch are now likely to withdraw owing to they find that your standing is unsafe. This puts me in another serious quandry aginst.
1 will write you fully by next mail c/o your niece who will very probably due to arrive London about the end of this month.
